The EB1 permanent work visa gives priority immigration status to individuals with extraordinary ability or achievements in science, art, education, business or athletics. The O1 temporary work visa (non-immigrant visa) enables a person with extraordinary talents to reside and work in the U.S. The criteria are nearly identical to those for the EB1, except that the job the person is accepting need not require extraordinary ability.
